Hi Guys, Remember Me? Health Update
Hi Friends!
It has been quite some time since Ive written to you, and I apologize. I want to start off by thanking my followers for sticking around while Ive been on my short hiatus. Life has been so crazy and such a rollarcoaster lately, I have been spending my ‘blogging time’ focusing on other things- such as my health. If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you will have noticed my previous blog post about taking some time off to focus on my health, and I figured I should give you guys an update on where I’ve been so that you don’t think I’ve abandoned you!
For the past year or so, I have been in and out of the emergency room suffering from EXTREME upper abdominal pain. The pain has been so excruciating at times that I literally cannot move for HOURS at a time. I have spent many nights in the emergency room begging for answers but not getting any. I went for X-rays and Ultra Sounds and they found nothing. I also was on a waiting list to have a scope done but I have been waiting MONTHS for the Gastro clinic to call me to set up my appointment for the scope. Every doctor I have had pretty much brushed me off and said I suffered from stomach acid issues, gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. It is so frustrating and so scary when you know there is something wrong with you and you are not receiving the help you need. A few weeks ago, I had the worst attack I’ve ever had. I was at work, and had to leave INSTANTLY because the pain came on so fast and so strong. I got Steve to meet me halfway home because I couldn’t drive any longer and we went to the emergency room that night. The doctor there gave me a numbing solution for my stomach to ease the pain a little bit and sent me to Southlake Hospital to have an Ultra Sound done. I had the UltraSound and it came back that I actually have Gallstones and ‘Sludge’ in my Gallbladder which is causing me so much pain! They are not sure why this didnt come up on my previous Ultrasounds but I am just thankful that they’ve finally figured out whats causing me so much pain and they finally have a solution for me! I actually have to have surgery to have my Gallbladder removed, and I see the surgeon tomorrow to figure out when that surgery is going to be. In the mean time, I have been trying to figure out what foods trigger a gallbladder attack and what my safe foods are. Its been hard because I am scared to eat ANYTHING in fear I might have an attack. I haven’t been able to go to the gym and I have been missing a ton of work because of the pain. Its extremely frustrating and I will be so relieved to finally have this surgery and move on with my life!
Being sick is emotionally and physically draining. It has been so hard to focus on ANYTHING else and its been taking up such a huge part of my life for a year now! Its EXHAUSTING and I’m tired of complaining about it or needing Steve to take care of me during an attack because I can’t even take care of myself! It will be so good to get back on track and I cant wait to be HEALTHY again!
So once again, thanks so much for sticking around!!! I promise ill be back to posting regularly once my health has improved! I have a ton of posts planned for the Christmas season and winter months, so please check back soon!
I’ve missed you guys,
Keer xo.
Hi there, Just came across your blog because I just had that pain last night and it was horrible. I have been diagnosed as having gallstones too. Curious – have you tried changing your diet? I am pretty sure I am going to schedule the surgery but I am trying to eat six small meals a day and no saturated fats.

Hi !! Gallstones are the worst eh? So painful! I’ve changed my diet and tried everything and I keep having attacks. My surgery isn’t until feb8 so I’m just trying to take it easy. Did you decide to do the surgery?
